Revived and updated site for Vitesse Arnhem.
I used to run this site a few years back, when I had time and energy to make lots of graphs and do stats analysis on Vitesse. I've re-hashed it with latest info. Not as thorough now, but I've added some fun stuff. Any feedback, suggestions welcome.

European Challenge Cup
Vitesse Arnhem are drawn against some minnows (can't recall who), should be a good chance to rest a few top players, and/or try out some weird formation and tactics!

BMG 0 - 3 Vitesse Arnhem

Vitesse made it look like a routine 3 points in the bag, though only last season BMG were a very tough nut to crack at their ground. Berry was unstoppable once again down the left wing showing pace and power. BMG lacked bite in attack, with the confident Vitesse defence snuffing out any rare attack. BMG are looking lifeless and gurenteed to go down. It will take a new manager and heavy investment to save them, which is very unlikely.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON so far...

Neal Berry:

Berry has been awasome for Vitesse down the left wing. He has justified his £32m price tag twice over since joining Arnhem army 2 seasons ago. He is a constant source of ammunition for the strike force and has shown his versitility by playing at left back. His continued rich vein of form will keep in th hunt for silverware. Berry has remained loyal to Vitesse despite some high profile interest from others saying,

"I am happy at Vitesse and believe that I can achieve what I want with this club. I am enjoying my game with this group of players and I have tremendous respect for the manager. My heart is here and can't see my self going anywhere else."

THE GELREDOME

The Gelredome in Arnhem is a state-of-the-art football stadium that includes both a retractable roof and, uniquely, a retractable pitch, allowing it to be used for pop concerts and other non-sporting events. One of the venues for the recent Euro 2000 tournament and home to the Vitesse club, this 30,000-capacity facility incorporates both PV modules and active solar heating to help meet its energy needs. The Gelredome also incorporates sustainable building concepts and environmentally friendly features in general, such as the use of seats made from recycled plastic.

(Despite claims, idea for this innovative design was not stolen from Luton Town. How couls Luton have afforded this?)
